Fall Semester B
Children spend an entire semester observing Jesus' life beginning with his long-promised birth and the unusual signs given to his family that He is truly the Savior of the world. Echoes of his identity and destiny from the Old Testament Lessons in Fall Semester A come alive as children see the magi seeking the King of the Jews and, as John the Baptist points to him as the Lamb of God, both important objects in Fall Semester A.
As Jesus' ministry grows, He shows his disciples that He has power over Creation when He halts the devastating storm on the Sea of Galilee, heals the blind, and raises Lazarus from the dead. The image of the sphere of the world reappears, illustrating that Jesus is God, the Creator and Restorer of our broken world. He has also come to rescue not only Jews but the invisible, forgotten people. He is the fulfillment of the Covenant promise to Abraham, the One who will bless the entire world.
